Chief Executive Officer
John McKillop was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of Hassad Australia in February 2016 with responsibility for the oversight and management of the business. He has over 25 years’ experience in the agricultural sector in various roles including Managing Director of Clyde Agriculture and senior roles with AgCAP, Elders, Stanbroke Pastoral Company and Grainco.
John currently a Director of Dairy Australia, Marcus Oldham Agricultural College and a former director of Meat & Livestock Australia and the Primary Industries Education Foundation.
John holds a Diploma in Farm Management, Bachelor of Business, Graduate Certificate in Agribusiness, Masters in Business Administration and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Operating Officer
Shane commenced work with Hassad Australia in 2011 and has held several management positions including the Operations Manager Grains, General Manager Operations and now as Chief Operating Officer. In the initial period with Hassad, Shane was responsible for the identifiable and assessment of regions and properties that would fit the strategy.
Shane’s key function as COO role is to create a culture of innovation, enthusiasm and business acumen within the group of farm managers to deliver the optimum level of economic efficiency for Hassad Australia.
A key focus of this role is in developing and implementing sustainable farming and grazing systems across the Hassad Australia properties, to ensure the company remains a low cost producer of high quality products.
Shane holds a Bachelor of Rural Science (Hons) from the University of New England.
Chief Financial Officer
Commercial Manager & Company Secretary
Terrie Morgan was appointed the Commercial Manager and Company Secretary of Hassad Australia in November 2016 with responsibility for governance, compliance, risk, legal, grain marketing and wool marketing. She has over 12 years’ experience in roles with Cargill/GrainCorp (JV), ANZ Europe and North America, Emerald Grain and Holding Redlich.
Terrie holds a Bachelor of Law, Bachelor of Agricultural Science, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and is an officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria as an Australian Lawyer.
Human Resources Manager
Manager – Health, Safety & Environment / Animal Welfare
Jason Crooks has worked with Hassad Australia since 2012, having accountability for Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental Management and Animal Welfare. He has over 20 years’ experience working in safety and environmental roles for significant industry players such as Rio Tinto, BHPB and Great Southern Group, including the last 12 years focused on the agricultural sector.
Jason holds a Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, and a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science (with honours).
